fill.zone is a free browser game. You can play every mode without an account, and the game never asks for more data than the feature you are using needs. This policy covers the website at fill.zone and its online multiplayer service.

Playing as a guest

Guests can play solo, local two-player, and online matches. Guest play does not create a server-side profile, and your device-local rating and stats never leave your browser.

When you play online, your moves are relayed through our multiplayer server so your opponent's browser can receive them. These messages exist only for the duration of the match and are not stored.

Accounts

Signing in is optional and unlocks the ranked ladder. Accounts are provided by Clerk, our authentication provider. When you sign in we store a game profile containing:

  • your account id and sign-in details (held by Clerk),
  • a display username (you can change it in the game),
  • your rating, win/loss/draw counts, and matches played.

Legal basis: performing the contract you enter when creating an account (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)).

Ranked matches & the public leaderboard

When two signed-in players finish an online match, the result (outcome and final scores) is recorded so ratings can be computed fairly and cheating can be detected.

Public by design

The leaderboard is public: your username, rating, wins, and matches played are visible to everyone. Choose a username you are comfortable sharing.

Anonymous usage counts

To understand how the game is used, the multiplayer server records a bare counter when an online match starts or finishes: the time, whether it was a random or private match, and whether it was ranked. No player ids, no IP addresses, no scores, nothing that identifies you.

Legal basis: legitimate interest in operating and improving the game (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)). Because these counts are anonymous, they cannot be linked back to you.

Data on your device

The game uses your browser's local storage for settings, solo stats, rating history, and replays. This data never leaves your device, and clearing your browser storage removes it.

fill.zone sets no tracking cookies and loads no advertising or third-party analytics scripts.

Who processes data

  • Clerk — sign-in and account management.
  • Supabase (EU region) — profiles, ratings, and match records.
  • Cloudflare — multiplayer relay and hosting infrastructure.
  • Vercel — website hosting.

Each provider processes data only to deliver its part of the service and is bound by its own data-processing terms.

Your rights

If you have an account, you can request access, correction, export, or deletion of your personal data at any time. Deleting your account removes your profile, rating, and leaderboard entry. Match records that involve other players are anonymized rather than deleted, so their results stay intact.

You also have the right to object to processing and to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.
